Subscribing by text rather than by web form means the request comes from the mobile number itself, so nobody can sign up a number they do not control.
Transaction Notes watches an email address for bank transaction alerts. When one arrives, it texts you the transaction amount and the merchant name. You reply with a short note describing the purchase, and the note is saved against that transaction, so you have a record of why each charge happened.
To receive alerts you also configure your bank to send its transaction alerts to the email address the service monitors. Without that, subscribing produces no messages.
Messages are sent only when a transaction alert arrives, so frequency follows your own card activity, typically a few messages per day at most and often none. No marketing, promotional, or scheduled messages are sent. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
